HOTELS IN SEDONA
A Sunset Chateau (because it's beautiful)
and the Junipine Resort (because it's beautiful and has an open-air hot tub!)
are favourites for the stops around Sedona/Flagstaff - but there are lots of others!
And, in fact, I have booked a completely different one (more reasonably priced). Sedona Real Inn
This was a hard choice, this one. Others which were considered, included:
Wildflower Inn - nothing all that special perhaps?
Boots & Saddles B&B
Sedona Hilton (I am very tempted by this one)
The Mariposa Room at the Penrose
Canyon Villa
Country Gardens B&B (check out the lodge!)
Orchards Inn - 2 rooms (with wonderful views)+ breakfast for $195
Sky Ranch Lodge. I was almost ready to actually book this one - until I read a few rather unfavourable reviews concerning dirty carpets, noisy children and "critters"!. Should drive up this road for a wonderful sunset though.
